Anglesey Walking Holidays

About Us

Eurwyn and Gillian Williams have  lived on the Isle of Anglesey for over 25 years, and enjoy learning more and more about the area they live in.  Walking has been one of their hobbies for over 20 years, especially the island's magnificent unspoilt coastline.

Eurwyn was born on the island and has chosen to reside here, and his knowledge of the history and traditions of the area is an added bonus.  Both of them are fluent in English and Welsh.

Gillian and Eurwyn both have a television background, Eurwyn as a director and Gillian as a continuity person.  There is nothing that Eurwyn prefers better, after a busy period of working in the television studios in Cardiff, than to walk Anglesey's coastline and enjoy the solitude and the fresh air.

In 2006 Eurwyn and Gillian decided to set up Anglesey Walking Holidays/ Crwydro Môn with the hope of being able to offer walkers the same exhilirating experience that they both enjoy on their doorstep..

.

The new venture had features by the BBC (Radio and television) and local papers and is going from strength to strength.

By 2011, as well as packages on Anglesey, we also offer combined packages on Anglesey / Snowdonia, and Anglesey/ Wicklow, Ireland, as well as cycling packages along the coastal and country roads of Anglesey. These are proving to be very popular.

In 2010 - cycling packages were introduced circumnavigating the island - coastal and inland routes.  These are proving popular and  can be combined with walking days.

ANGLESEY TOURISM AWARDS 2009

On Friday, January 30th, 2009 twelve of the Isle of Anglesey's best tourism businesses were given prestigious awards in the Anglesey Tourism Awards, held at the Trearddur Bay Hotel.

The high profile event, organised by the Anglesey Tourism Association, was attended by tourism businesses and officials across the Island and North Wales. Rhun ap Iorwerth, BBC presenter and journalist, hosted the event which included Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones, Deputy First Minister for Wales and Minister for the Economy and Transport, Jonathan Jones, Director of Tourism at Visit Wales and Dewi Davies, Regional Strategy Director for Tourism Partnership North Wales as guest speakers.

The Best Adventure/Activity Operator of the Year was won by Crwydro Môn / Anglesey Walking Holidays. The judges were impressed that Anglesey Walking Holidays' packages are tailored to meet the requirements of its customers and are highly personalised and bilingual. The silver awards were presented to Bull Bay Golf Club and Cartio Môn Karting in Bodedern.  This award was won by them in 2008 as well.

The Use of Welsh in Tourism Businesses Award, sponsored by the Welsh Language Board and Menter Iaith Môn was won by both Crwydro Môn / Anglesey Walking Holidays and Neuadd Lwyd. Judges felt that both Anglesey Walking Holidays and Neuadd Lwyd deserved to be winners of this Award. They both achieved very high points in the ranking system which clearly shows good practice in the use of Welsh in business. Judges commented that Anglesey Walking Holidays deliver the complete Welsh and total holiday experience, while covering the whole of Anglesey.
